The Computas Group, including Computas Opus, recently underwent a comprehensive audit of its entire operation, and the results couldn’t have been better. From May 6th to 15th, the company was audited for ISO 9001 (quality management) recertification and for the transition to the latest version of ISO/IEC 27001:2022 (information security). The auditor concluded with a top score – 5 out of 5 – a score they had never before awarded.
“This is clear proof that quality, security, and continuous improvement aren’t just ambitions for us – they’re integrated into how we work, every day, across the entire company,” says Lars Frode Haugen, Chief Information Officer at Computas.
The audit was conducted across all business areas, including sales, projects, administration, and customer deliveries – in Norway, Denmark, and Romania.
The auditor particularly highlighted the organization’s high maturity, strong culture of improvement, and robust adherence to the updated ISO/IEC 27001 standard. It was also noted that information security and quality are well-embedded in both the management system and in practice.
“This is an incredible recognition of our hard work, dedication, and our focus on quality and security in everything we do. It confirms our commitment to delivering top-tier services and ensures that our customers can have full confidence in our processes and systems,” says Rune Hagbartsen, Head of Computas Opus.
Building trust through structure and improvement
Computas has been ISO 9001-certified since 2016 and ISO/IEC 27001-certified since 2021. The transition to the new ISO 27001:2022 version is now complete and audited, strengthening the company’s ability to meet increasing demands for information security and risk management.
“Certifications aren’t just about documentation and routines. They’re about predictability, control, and trust – both internally and in our interactions with customers. We work systematically with improvement, and it yields results – both in terms of audit scores and in our daily work,” says Haugen.
Computas’ management system covers the entire organization, including competence, culture, and formal processes. This provides a robust foundation for high-quality and secure deliveries – and for long-lasting customer relationships.
“A key success criterion in our work with quality and information security has been how we’ve combined the Atlassian platform with our other business systems like CRM, ERP, and HR systems. This has made it possible to build a holistic and user-friendly management system that is well-anchored in the organization and effectively supports both compliance and continuous improvement. Our experiences and methods also enable us to assist other businesses in establishing similar structures – with control, transparency, and progress,” says Haugen.
